UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples – Panel Discussion

- Event Description below
o The panel discussion will consist of two key Native American constituents who served as consultants to the United Nations in the shaping the Declaration. Chief and Faithkeeper, Oren Lyons, and Director of the Indian Law Alliance, Tim Coulter. The third panelist will be Tonya Frichner, United Nations Permanent Forum to the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The panel will highlight the Declarations key strengths and weaknesses, and along with the significance of the document from an international human rights perspective. The panel will also discuss the challenges that lie ahead for Indigenous Peoples. Moderator: Bethany Berger, Harvard Law School Oneida Visiting Professor of Law
