Since the inception of the Harvard Square Think PINK, Drink PINK, Shop PINK campaign 6 years ago, the Harvard Square community has raised thousands of dollars for breast cancer charities. This year is no exception. The Harvard Square Business Association is pleased to announce that the beneficiaries this year are The Hoffman Breast Center at Mount Auburn Hospital and The Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Each summer, members of the Harvard Square community renew their commitment to the breast cancer awareness campaign, Think PINK. With each pink drink, menu item, or product/service ordered, establishments make donations to a breast cancer charity. In addition, customers were encouraged to fill out a pink heart in honor of a loved one who has been affected by the disease. The hearts have been on display throughout the Square all summer long.
“I’m so proud that the Harvard Square community has come together again this year to support such a worthy cause,” said Denise Jillson, Executive Director of the Harvard Square Business Association.
