Last year, the Harvard Square Business Association partnered with HSBA member and friend, Kathy Irving, Vice President of Hammond Real Estate in her efforts to “Help Haiti Walk.”   Her efforts helped collect over 10,000 lbs. of crutches, canes, walkers, tarps, tents, and clothing for the people of Haiti. She extends her thanks to all who participated in last years Help Haiti Walk collection and is asking for your help again this year. 

The Afya Foundation is collecting and sending medical and humanitarian supplies to help displaced refugees who are still living in tented cities in Haiti. Hammond Real Estate (Cambridge) and Gentle Giant Moving (Somerville) have partnered to collect, store and transport your donations to Afya. www.afyafoundation.org   

This time the AFYA Foundation has asked us to concentrate on items needed for the cholera outbreak.  The list of items is listed below and, of course, again this year, they will happily take crutches.  We hope that you will share this request for donation items with your friends, family, colleagues, book club members, school and church groups.
