Cambridge Forum
Romance in the Information Age
Friendships and love affairs were once the glorious domain of pen and paper, where lovers poured out their souls.  Now they have become mere electronic transactions executed and terminated in a few texted taps.
Yet we are still hitting poets.org over and over again, in search of the right words. So what have we lost and gained with digital intimacy? Come join Cambridge Forum in the discussion with Christine Rosen, journalist; Johnny Lee Davenport, actor; and Curt DeCamillo, art historian on Thursday February 15 at 7 pm First Parish Church, 1446 Mass Avenue, Cambridge.  All are welcome!

Club Passim
February 14. Sarah Kilborne
The Lavender Blues is a showcase of queer music before World War II. Some of our most famous musical artists of the early 20th century were not only “in the life” – meaning gay, bisexual or transgender – but they sang about this life too. With songs and stories from Vaudeville, Tin Pan Alley, the Harlem Renaissance, the Weimar Republic and more, performance artist Sarah Kilborne introduces audiences to a little-known, yet revolutionary moment in music history when pioneering artists sang boldly about sexual and gender fluidity – something daring even for today, and as deliciously fun and inspiring as ever.
Doors open at 7 pm and show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $20
