FREE-to-the-Public, the Indoor/Outdoor Event takes place on Massachusetts Avenue between Harvard/Bow Street and Putnam Avenue featuring:
- Stellar Performances in a Diverse Array of Dance Forms
- Introductory-Level Dance Classes in over 20 Forms of Dance
- Exhibitions and Other Activities by Local Non-Profits
- Arts & Crafts and Food Vendors
With the support of the area’s business community, local government, non-profit sector and other collaborating agencies, the Festival celebrates the remarkable breadth of talent from Greater Boston’s diverse dance communities.

JOIN US AS A FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER!
We are looking for up to 200 Volunteers throughout the day! Volunteer shifts are 3 hours each and all volunteers will receive a brand new DWC Festival Shirt. Tasks will include but are not limited to stage set up, street decoration, stage, and MC assistance, street clean up and stage breakdown. ADVOCACY WAY
A free event for all to enjoy, the Annual Dance for World Community Festival brings together diverse dance performers, dance instructors and activists from local arts, social service and advocacy agencies to:
- Raise awareness about critical social issues and the growing urgency to promote world peace and climate justice, and
- Celebrate the power of dance, and the arts in general, to create social change.
This annual event draws a diverse audience as well as prominent media exposure, making it a unique partnership opportunity for your organization. All are welcome to join the celebration.
Exhibiting organizations must submit an application for a space and table on Advocacy Way. The $30 Exhibitors Fee includes a table, tablecloth and two chairs. Reserve your space today!
