The Charles Hotel, in partnership with the Harvard Square Business Association, is delighted to announce its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 30 from 4pm – 7pm. Experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of the season as the upper-level courtyard of the Charles is transformed into a holiday wonderland for all ages!
- 4:00pm: The festivities begin with hot chocolate and delicious sweets from Henrietta’s Table, along with a festive children’s craft project. Throughout the event, enjoy seasonal treats from Red Apple including complimentary hot cider and cider donuts to keep you cozy.
- 4:15pm: Storytime with our friends from the Harvard Coop, reading a winter classic for children of all ages.
- 5:30pm: Countdown to the Tree Lighting, featuring a special appearance from Santa Claus!
- 6:00pm: Delight in exclusive excerpts from José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker, bringing the magic of the season to life.
- Toy Drive: The Cambridge Fire Department will collect new, unwrapped toys for their Annual Toys for Tots drive and will have a fire truck onsite for kids to explore.
