City of Cambridge: Celebrating National Black Business Month
August 4, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Join the City of Cambridge in celebrating National Black Business Month in August to recognize the importance of Black and Brown businesses to local communities and to the national economy.
Events, workshops, and networking opportunities will be held throughout the month to provide resources to small businesses owners and entrepreneurs. Community members may join the celebration by supporting Black-owned businesses and other entrepreneurs this month and beyond.
“Black-owned businesses are an essential part of the Cambridge community, and the City has a long history of providing support to foster an environment for women and BIPOC-owned businesses to thrive in Cambridge,” said Cambridge City Manager Louis A. DePasquale. “During National Black Business Month, we are excited to raise awareness of Black entrepreneurs and their impact in our local economy.”
“We are proud to recognize local Black-owned businesses and their contributions as we celebrate Black Business Month,” said Iram Farooq, Assistant City Manager for Community Development. “You can learn more about these businesses in the City’s newly expanded Cambridge Business Diversity Directory.”
