Commonwealth Wine School Virtual Event: Queso Royale – France vs. the USA, Wine & Cheese!

When it comes to wine & cheese, France is at the top of the pile in quality and variety. What about the United States? What if we told you the USA makes wines and cheeses that are every bit as amazing as their European counterparts? It’s true, and we’re here to prove it! Spend some time in some of the tastiest combat around. Join wine and cheese educator (and global curd hunter) Adam Centamore for an evening pitting these two gastronomical powerhouses in a head-to-head competition. You’ll learn about European techniques, styles, and characteristics while pitting them against their domestic cousins. It’s the Fourth of July versus Bastille Day! Paris versus New York! Bruce Springsteen versus europop!

Want to take part in the competition? Adam will send out a list of all the materials a week ahead of the class to give you plenty of time to get whatever you are interested in sampling during the class. He’ll be acquiring all the cheeses from South End Formaggio Kitchen, and all the wines from Bin Ends wines in Braintree and Needham. Shipping and curbside pickup are available for both sources. Don’t feel like fightin’? Not a problem. Grab a glass of something French or American, and come along for the ride!
