Divine Maya Cacao: Teen Saturdays Workshop

Join us at the Peabody Museum for a tasty workshop that will explore the origins of cacao. Teens—ages 13 to 18—will delve into the rich history and cultural significance of cacao, from its honored status in ancient Maya culture to its evolution into the delicious chocolate we enjoy today. Participants will create their own xocolatl,  a traditional Maya beverage, using authentic ingredients and techniques and will get both a taste of history and a deeper understanding of ancient practices.
