Italian Cooking Class and Wine Pairing

“What grows together goes together” is a familiar saying in the world of wine. And in few places is this adage more appropriate than in the food and wine culture of Italy. Italian wines truly shine when placed alongside a complimentary dish, be it pasta, a hearty vegetable dish, or simple seafood. And meals in Italy just wouldn’t be the same without that a glass of wine alongside.

Join us for a very special evening of cooking, tasting, and fun as the Commonwealth Wine School partners with cooking instructor and cookbook author Francesca Montillo of Lazy Italian Culinary Adventures. During this remote class Francesca will lead you through a cooking demonstration while you cook along in your own kitchen. The group will prepare three dishes together, and along the way taste and learn about the art of wine pairing with Certified Specialist of Wine Kim Simone. Grab your favorite apron and your wine glass, and let’s have dinner & drinks “together.”

This class is held Online through Zoom. Tasting Kits of the wines are available for pick up at our school if you select the Online with Tasting Kit registration option. If you would like your kit shipped to you, please pay for shipping here. Ingredient lists for the cooking portion of the event will be sent out via email in the week prior to the class. For those who choose to register for the online class only, wine lists will be provided ahead of time so that you may taste along at home.
