RUFA Film Night
May 15 @ 7:00 pm
| FREEIn 2012, Jared Campbell decided to run up and down Salt Lake City’s Grandeur Peak for 24 hours, to raise money for air-quality advocacy work. The following year, a few friends joined in. The next year: even more. After 11 years, Campbell’s solo project has morphed into Running Up For Air (RUFA): a worldwide movement with dozens of races, hundreds of runners and tens of thousands of dollars raised around the globe. This is a story about how running builds community that can jumpstart change far beyond the trails.
Join Patagonia Cambridge and Patagonia Boston on May 15th at 7 PM for a screening of Running Up For Air. The film will be shown at the Cambridge location, but you can meet us at the Boston store for an optional pre-screening run from Newbury Street to Brattle Street. We’ll have two run lengths to choose from. Runners of all abilities are encouraged to attend!
Per usual, we will have food (free), drinks, and a chance-to-win (both available after a suggested donation to non-profit partner Climable).
Want to get involved with RUFA? Head to Strava to learn about the Running Up For Air: Clean Air Vert Challenge—a virtual event that harnesses a global running community in support of organizations working to improve air quality.
