SUMMARY:Scenic Songs: A Hiking Concert with Erin McKeown
DESCRIPTION:Calling all hiking enthusiasts and music lovers! Join us on the trail with some of your favorite performing artists for a guided hike and live music experience like no other. These unplugged and acoustic shows are unique opportunities to enjoy live music in community and nature. Each show will take place at a different location—one of The Trustees’ special places across the state. \nWe are pleased to collaborate with The Trustees for the 2026 Scenic Songs Series\, bringing Passim’s renowned folk music into these incredible outdoor settings. The Trustees is Massachusetts’ largest—and the nation’s first—land conservation and preservation nonprofit. Today\, through the support of Members\, donors\, and partners\, The Trustees helps conserve nearly 52\,000 acres and welcomes the public to more than 120 inspiring locations across the state to experience landscapes where nature\, wildlife\, and people all thrive. \nNote: Although ticketing is managed by The Trustees\, Passim members may enter their discount code during checkout to receive member pricing. \nFor other events in this series\, visit the Scenic Songs page. \nOn June 14th\, join Erin McKeown on the trail at Bartholomew’s Cobble. \nAll tickets have a $3 processing fee and a $2 preservation fee. The $3 processing fee is waived for tickets purchased at our box office. \n  \nErin McKeown\nErin McKeown is a musician\, writer\, and producer known internationally for her prolific disregard of stylistic boundaries. Her brash and clever electric guitar playing is something to see. Her singing voice is truly unique —clear\, cool\, and collected. Over the last 20 years\, she has performed around the world\, released 10 full length albums\, and written for film\, television\, and theater\, all the while refining her distinctive and challenging mix of American musical forms. \nMcKeown’s first musical\, Miss You Like Hell\, written with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes\, opened Off-Broadway at The Public Theater in 2018. It was nominated for 5 Drama Desk Awards\, including Best Lyrics\, Best Music and Best Orchestrations\, and The Wall Street Journal named it Best Musical of 2018. \nLeading her own band\, she has performed at Bonnaroo\, Glastonbury\, and the Newport Folk Festivals. A familiar presence on NPR and the BBC\, McKeown’s songs have also appeared in numerous commercials and television shows. \nWhile a student at Brown University\, Erin was a resident artist at Providence\, RI’s revolutionary community arts organization AS220. A 2011-2012 fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center For Internet & Society\, she is also the recipient of a 2016 writing fellowship from The Studios of Key West and a 2018 residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. \nMcKeown is a 2020-21 Professor of the Practice at Brown University.
