SUMMARY:David Wax Museum & Lowland Hum present The Golden Hours
DESCRIPTION:Catch the unveiling of The Golden Hours\, a new band formed by the members of acclaimed indie-folk acts David Wax Museum and Lowland Hum. These musicians have been touring and recording for over 20 years\, featured on CBS Saturday Morning and NPR’s Tiny Desk\, and lauded by The New York Times\, Washington Post\, TIME and Rolling Stone.  The Golden Hours’ debut record Terra Nova (to be released in 2026) brings together the power of these four songwriters in a marriage of lush harmonies\, emotional depth\, and supreme musicality. \nHailed by NPR Music as “pure\, irresistible joy” and praised by The Guardian as “global crossover at its best…as cheerfully infectious as it is original\,” David Wax Museum’s eclectic and exuberant sound blends the ancient and ever-relevant rhythms of traditional Mexican music with amber pop hues and unabashed rock riffs\, all tethered together by seductive harmonies. \nCo-fronted by multi-instrumentalist Suz Slezak with her raucous accordion and sublime fiddling along with the charismatic energy of David Wax\, their on-stage chemistry is both captivating and intimate. Since their early breakout as a buzz band at the revered Newport Folk Festival\, the band has toured the world with their two young children in tow\, performing at festivals in North America and Europe\, and sharing stages with The Avett Brothers\, Los Lobos\, The Wood Brothers\, Old97’s\, Buena Vista Social Club\, Gregory Alan Isakov\, Watchhouse\, Josh Ritter\, and Guster\, among others. \nTransmitting their kinetic energy in platforms including CBS This Morning: Saturday\, Tiny Desk Concert\, and NPR’s World Cafe\, they have also soundtracked love stories on and offscreens\, from the Netflix #1 show Firefly Lane to the wedding of US Secretary of Transportation\, Pete Buttigieg. Canada’s CKUA Radio praised their latest album You Must Change Your Life as “truly transformative — a colorful\, multi-layered dream world which speaks to both the most earthly and the most ineffable sides of our human existence.”

SUMMARY:Smuggler's Run - Treats From the Mountains of France
DESCRIPTION:Every once in a while an opportunity presents itself that is simply too good to pass up. Our intrepid wine & cheese educator Adam Centamore just returned from leading a wine and cheese tour of the Savoie and Jura regions of France. While there\, a few calls were made\, a few doors were knocked on\, and\, well\, things happened. He returned home with a bunch of amazing snacks and sips\, so we’re offering this session to invite you to enjoy the fruits of Adam’s “labors”. \nJoin us for an evening sampling an array of delicious morsels from the mountains of eastern France. We’ll have small-producer cheeses\, condiments\, and other local delights while learning what makes this region such an incredible source of food and drink. Take a last-minute trip on a culinary adventure to one of the most interesting wine and cheese regions in the entire world! \nThis class is limited to only 15 participants! Get yourself on the list today! \nWe will make every effort to accommodate food allergies and/or dietary restrictions\, but\, due to the fact that we work with small producers from around the globe\, we are unable to guarantee or protect from cross contamination.

SUMMARY:Sunny War
DESCRIPTION:Sunny War (born Sydney Lyndella Ward) is more than just an artist; she is a force of nature that is tough to pin down. What exactly is her style? Is she a blues or punk artist? The answer is yes and no. You can try to place Sunny in a few boxes\, but doing so would be a major disservice to the young songstress. Yes\, she may be a Robert Johnson with a shot of Bad Brains\, but even this description falls short. The only way to really know Sunny is to immerse oneself in the music. Easy enough\, right? OK\, maybe not that easy. \nSunny’s repertoire includes an expansive collection of songs exploring personal aspects of her life. Her lyrics prove she is not afraid to share her insights and philosophies on life. In her track\, “Man of My House\,” Sunny speaks on the trials and tribulations of living without a father in the home and inheriting the role of head of the household. Other tracks are just as powerful\, but also contain a dose political philosophy as exemplified in the moving blues tracks\, “Police State” and “Sheep.” There is also “Downtown–”a track that touches on the damage to one’s life drugs can cause without warning. \nSunny has indeed blown people away as evidenced by signing a sponsorship deal with Gibson Guitars and signed with performance rights organization BMI.

SUMMARY:The Smiths Tribute (NYC)
DESCRIPTION:“Head back to the ʼ80s with the ultimate indie rock band…and jam out to a guy who acts and sounds just like Morrissey” – Thrillist \nThe Smiths Tribute NYC features former members of The Sons & Heirs\, who built an extensive following through sold-out shows from Tel Aviv to Austin to Los Angeles\, with press acclaim from the New York Times\, New Yorker\, WIRED\,  and Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield. \nThe band has shared the stage with many special guests including Morrissey’s long-time drummer Spencer Cobrin\, Doug Gillard (Guided By Voices\, Nada Surf) and late Smiths’ bassist Andy Rourke\, who remarked to a journalist “these guys love the band\, and they’re very passionate about it. \n“The way this singer captured everything about Morrissey was messing with my mind” – WIRED \n“Almost as good as the real thing! They do it seriously\, but without taking themselves too seriously. Lots of fun!” – Ticketmaster review (Bowery Ballroom 2023)

SUMMARY:John Wick: Chapter 4
DESCRIPTION:Director: Chad Stahelski Run Time: 170 min. Format: DCP Release Year: 2023 \nStarring: Bill Skarsgård\, Donnie Yen\, Ian McShane\, Keanu Reeves\, Laurence Fishburne \n\nIn this grandiose culmination of the John Wick franchise\, the avenging demon of a super-human assassin must fight his way to the top to gain his freedom and help his friends. Yeah\, sure\, Keanu is the star here\, but Donnie Yen’s performance as the blind martial arts master Caine is one of the film’s not-so-secret weapons—and scored him a spin-off film which is now currently shooting.

SUMMARY:Earlybirds Club
DESCRIPTION:Earlybirds Club is a dance party for women and gender-expansive people that starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm — because we have sh*t to do in the morning! \nAt New Wave Night\, we’re diving headfirst into the moody\, synth-drenched side of the ’80s. Think Depeche Mode\, The Cure\, New Order\, Tears for Fears\, Talking Heads\, Siouxsie\, The Smiths\, Eurythmics\, Blondie — the songs that made you feel misunderstood in the most glamorous way possible. \nThis is eyeliner-as-armor energy and a room full of people who know every single word to “Just Can’t Get Enough.” If you’ve ever had a spiritual experience during a Depeche Mode bridge\, you’re among friends. \nAll-black outfits welcome. Doc Martens encouraged. Comfy shoes still undefeated. \nEarlybirds Club is more than a night out — it’s a judgment-free\, joy-forward space where kindness\, good vibes\, and sensible footwear rule. Come as you are — there’s plenty of room on the dance floor for everyone. \n10% of ticket proceeds go to the Susie Lee Legacy Fund\, supporting nonprofits that uplift women\, gender-expansive people\, and communities who need it most. Every ticket helps fund something bigger. \nNote: Earlybirds Club is designed for women and gender-expansive people. Everything about this space — the energy\, the music\, the intention — is centered on that community.
