SUMMARY:Worship: “Saying Yes and Saying No”
DESCRIPTION:Unitarian Universalists believe that any religion worth its salt ought to make a difference in the world. But in these times of upheaval\, when so much that we value in our country seems to be unraveling\, it can be a struggle just to pay attention\, let alone take some kind of action. Maybe our faith has something to say about how to face the challenges of this moment without burning out. Join us this Sunday! Rev. Kathleen McTigue preaches. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBiography  \nRev. Kathleen McTigue served as a UU parish minister for 25 years\, 21 of them at the Unitarian Society of New Haven\, CT.  In 2012\,  she was hired under the joint auspices of the UUA and UUSC to initiate and direct the UU College of Social Justice\, bringing new justice training programs to congregations around the country. Since her retirement in 2021\, she has volunteered with migrants and refugees through the Boston Immigration Justice Accompaniment Network (BIJAN). She lives in Dorchester with her husband\, and is grateful to call First Parish Cambridge her congregational home.
