SUMMARY:Muppet Madness Triple Feature!
DESCRIPTION:The Muppet Movie: An origin tale for everyone’s favorite troupe of felt-skinned entertainers\, THE MUPPET MOVIE follows Kermit the Frog from his humble beginnings as a swamp-bound crooner to his current place as an internationally renowned superstar. \nThe Dark Crystal: Mixing Brian Froud’s amazing original designs with elements of traditional fairy tales\, THE DARK CRYSTAL depicts a fantastic world where a gentle orphan named Jen must venture forth to defeat the evil dragon-like Skeksis. \nLabyrinth: Frustrated teen Sarah (Connelly) is stuck babysitting her annoying baby brother until she innocently invokes the Goblin King to come and steal him away. When the supposedly legendary villain actually shows up (in the form of an unreasonably sexy David Bowie) and steals him away\, Sarah journeys to a fantasy realm populated by wonderfully designed muppets to try and get him back. \nTriple feature tickets available through MUPPET MOVIE ticketing page.

SUMMARY:Paper Wings
DESCRIPTION:Long-time friends and collaborators Emily Mann and Wila Frank\, known together as Paper Wings\, dream up warm\, pastoral folk songs furnished with delicate banjo and spellbinding harmonies so close you often can’t tell their voices apart. On their latest project\, Listen to the World Spin\, the Nashville duo’s songwriting flourishes\, displaying their exceptional ability to reference nostalgic sounds of American folk music while maintaining their own compelling style of artful and unpretentious lyricism. Embracing themes of solitude\, nature\, and passage through time and space\, Listen to the World Spin is a beautiful exploration of how we are never alone in our search for meaning and certainty in difficult times. “We needed these songs to guide and comfort us through the last few years\,” says Frank\, “And we hope they’ll do the same for others.” Listen to the World Spin was released on March 15th\, 2024 with support from Free Dirt Records.

SUMMARY:Galaxy Quest
DESCRIPTION:It’s surprisingly rare that a spoof of sci-fi films actually works as a sci-fi film in its own right\, but the hilarious GALAXY QUEST succeeds spectacularly in that regard. The cast of a canceled Star Trek-esque TV show are abducted by a race of aliens threatened with extinction who believe them to actually be intergalactic heroes. Challenged to rise to the occasion\, the batch of hapless actors find themselves renewed by what they are called on to become. \nThis screening will be preceeded by a half-hour\, on stage panel featuring astronauts and other experts discussing the theme of this year’s Massachusetts Space Week\, “Reaching the Sky.”
