First Parish in Cambridge
First Parish is a thriving congregation in the Unitarian Universalist tradition. The congregation honors the spiritual diversity of its congregation. Like all other UU churches, there are no creeds and participants are encouraged to develop their own religious beliefs and practices. The congregation gathers for worship, education, and programs in spiritual development and social interest. The congregation is committed to life-long religious education. There are active programs for children of all ages, youth, and adults of all ages. The church has additional programs operated by independent agencies, Cambridge Forum (public issues forum), Paine Social Services (social work agency devoted to elders in Cambridge), Tuesday Meals (free meals every Tuesday evening for the hungry), and the Nameless Coffee House (New England’s oldest free coffee house offering folk music). All activities at First Parish are open to the public.
