SUMMARY:Kipling Drozek and the Chaperones
DESCRIPTION:Kipling Drozek is twelve years old. His favorite things are video games\, “Weird Al” Yankovic\, Pokémon\, LEGO Mario\, and food. His least favorite things? Long walks\, school\, and consequences. Kip began writing music during COVID\, releasing his first album\, Oreshadow\, at the age of ten—and earning the record for the youngest musician ever to headline Club Passim. \nNow Kip is back with his sophomore outing\, Ick. Ick is a concept album all about things that Kip does not like: love songs\, coffee\, long car drives\, writer’s block\, cleaning his room\, and more. Featuring a full band and recorded/produced by the Grammy-nominated Zachariah Hickman\, the album is filled with catchy\, intricate\, open-hearted anthems about childhood\, often veering into accidentally profound reflections on the human experience.

DESCRIPTION:KENNY WHITE comes to the world of the touring singer-songwriter following a long and successful musical journey. An accomplished pianist\, who also performs on guitar\, Kenny has now become more known for his clever lyrics. LONG LIST OF PRIORS\, his aptly named current album\, is the latest collection of original songs: snapshots of the human condition. Kenny recently completed an 18-month tour performing his original songs while traveling as the opener for Stephen Stills & Judy Collins\, and has toured for many years with Cheryl Wheeler. He is looking forward to returning to the road to perform his own full-length shows.

SUMMARY:Paper Wings
DESCRIPTION:Long-time friends and collaborators Emily Mann and Wila Frank\, known together as Paper Wings\, dream up warm\, pastoral folk songs furnished with delicate banjo and spellbinding harmonies so close you often can’t tell their voices apart. On their latest project\, Listen to the World Spin\, the Nashville duo’s songwriting flourishes\, displaying their exceptional ability to reference nostalgic sounds of American folk music while maintaining their own compelling style of artful and unpretentious lyricism. Embracing themes of solitude\, nature\, and passage through time and space\, Listen to the World Spin is a beautiful exploration of how we are never alone in our search for meaning and certainty in difficult times. “We needed these songs to guide and comfort us through the last few years\,” says Frank\, “And we hope they’ll do the same for others.” Listen to the World Spin was released on March 15th\, 2024 with support from Free Dirt Records.
