SUMMARY:Cyrille Aimee
DESCRIPTION:Cyrille Aimée grew up in a multilingual household full of music where dancing was an everyday activity\, soundtracked by the Afro-Caribbean sounds of her mother’s native Dominican Republic. The family home was in Samois-sur-Seine\, the location of the Django Reinhardt Festival\, and the teenage Cyrille would climb out of her bedroom window at night to mingle with the players\, igniting a passion for jazz. \nMoving to New York City\, her talents quickly gained her a reputation among her peers as a matchless interpreter of song. She performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove and stole the show in front of the notoriously hard-to-please crowd at the Harlem Apollo. Steven Sondheim invited her to star in a tribute at New York’s City Centre\, backed by Wynton Marsalis. Her 2019 album Move On featured versions of Sondheim’s songs which received praise from Sondheim himself\, and her version of “Marry Me a Little”\, was nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award. \n\nAt the height of her New York success\, new horizons beckoned. Visiting New Orleans\, she fell in love with the energy and diversity of the city and made it her home. Linking back to New York to connect up all the dots\, she teamed up with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jake Sherman\, and together they have created her latest album\, A Fleur de Peau. to be released on a new label\, the London-based imprint Whirlwind Recordings \nCombining the depth and sophistication of jazz\, the immediacy of pop\, the irrepressible dance rhythms of the Caribbean\, it’s more intimate and more accessible than anything Cyrille has done before.

SUMMARY:Theo Croker
DESCRIPTION:GRAMMY-nominated trumpeter\, composer\, producer\, and bandleader Theo Croker continues to redefine the possibilities of modern jazz with his new album\, DREAM MANIFEST (Dom Recs / Fat Beats\, June 13). Hailed by the LA Times as “a path to jazz greatness\,” Croker’s latest work is an immersive journey where jazz\, experimental hip-hop\, and cosmic soul collide — the result of an artist unbound by genre and led only by creative vision. \nWith singles like the high-energy “We Still Wanna Dance” (produced by D’LEAU)\, the soul-laced “High Vibrations” (featuring Malaya)\, and the hypnotic “Crystal Waterfalls\,” Croker shapes a sonic world that is both timeless and of the moment (Wall Street Journal). His unmistakable air of chill\, as NPR notes\, comes from “a clear musical approach and determination” — qualities that have made him a standout collaborator for artists like Ari Lennox\, Common\, J. Cole\, Jill Scott\, and Wyclef Jean\, and a magnetic performer on stages from NPR’s Tiny Desk to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

SUMMARY:Eli Paperboy Reed
DESCRIPTION:Somewhere between the initial spark of infatuation and the gentle twilight of growing old together lies the real work of any relationship. Sure\, the thousandth kiss may not carry the same novel thrill as the first\, but\, if you do it right\, the grown-up stuff—building a home\, raising a family\, committing your lives to each other—is the most rewarding part. \n“There’s plenty of music out there about falling in love\,” says Eli Paperboy Reed. “I wanted to write about staying in love. I wanted to get to the heart of what it takes to go the distance\, of what it means for two people to walk side by side\, through good times and bad\, and still choose each other every single day.”

SUMMARY:John Pizzarelli
DESCRIPTION:Grammy-winning producer\, guitarist and vocalist JOHN PIZZARELLI celebrates the centennial of iconic singer Tony Bennett with a pair of heartfelt tributes. Dear Mr. Bennett\, to be released March 3\, 2026 via Green Hill Music\, features Pizzarelli’s trio with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson performing timeless songs made famous by Bennett. A 5-song EP will follow on August 7\, the week of Bennett’s 100th birthday \nWhen Tony Bennett passed away in July 2023\, just shy of his 97th birthday\, the loss was felt throughout the world of music. Few artists have made as profound an impact over such a wide range of styles and eras\, with connections spanning Frank Sinatra\, Bill Evans\, Willie Nelson and Lady Gaga. \nFor world-renowned guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli\, Bennett was more than simply an influence. Pizzarelli’s late father\, the revered guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli\, was a frequent sideman for the legendary singer\, appearing on albums including 1960’s To My Wonderful One and 1969’s I’ve Gotta Be Me. John got his own opportunity to accompany Bennett for a radio broadcast that also featured pianist Ralph Sharon and bassist Jay Leonhart. \nThe admiration was mutual – Bennett could be found in the audience for a number of Pizzarelli’s performances and sketched his likeness on two occasions. The charming artwork that graces the cover of Pizzarelli’s heartfelt new tribute album\, Dear Mr. Bennett\, was rendered during an engagement at Feinstein’s nightclub at New York’s Loews Regency hotel.

DESCRIPTION:“Like James Taylor’s voice or B.B. As a true ground-breaker\, [she’s] opening up whole new vistas for an instrument once solely associated with  pickin’ ‘n’ grinnin’.” —USA Today \n“Alison Brown left a career in investment banking for a life as a banjo musician. SUMMARY:Dafnis Prieto Sí o Sí Quartet
DESCRIPTION:PERSONNEL:\nDafnis Prieto\, Drums\, Compositions\, Music Director\nPeter Apfelbaum\, Soprano Sax\, Tenor Sax\, Flute\nMartin Bejerano\, Piano\nRicky Rodríguez\, Electric Bass \n25 years after his arrival in New York\, the GRAMMY-winning and Latin GRAMMY-nominated drummer\, composer\, and MacArthur Fellow Dafnis Prieto has utterly shifted the sonic landscape of the jazz and creative music scene. With Prieto’s appearance on the NYC jazz scene likened to “an asteroid hitting the city” (The New York Times)\, and a reputation that rightfully lauds him as “one of the most multidimensional artists working today” (JazzTimes)\, the Cuban drummer strikes once again with his 10th album\, 3 Sides of the Coin. This album marks the studio return of Prieto’s acclaimed Sí o Sí (“Yes or Yes”) Quartet\, a rightfully jubilant cohort comprising Peter Apfelbaum on woodwinds\, Martin Bejerano on piano\, and Ricky Rodríguez on electric bass\, brought together to commemorate both the bandleader’s quarter century in the United States and his 50th birthday.

SUMMARY:Gillian Margot & Geoffrey Keezer
DESCRIPTION:Regattabar is proud to welcome acclaimed vocalist Gillian Margot and piano virtuoso Geoffrey Keezer! This magical duo present an intimate musical conversation that spans the breadth of the American Songbook and beyond\, with masterful interpretations that showcase their remarkable artistic chemistry. Blending technical brilliance with emotional depth\, Margot and Keezer—partners in music and life for over a decade —create a performance environment of boundless flexibility and mutual responsiveness\, allowing each song to unfold with spontaneity while honoring the rich traditions from which they draw inspiration. Don’t miss these two world-class artists in concert together! \n“Within the first few seconds of the first song from Gillian Margot and Geoffrey Keezer\, …I had the glorious sense of having had my expectations fulfilled\, the feeling that everything that would happen thereafter – and there was a lot – would come as a bonus.” — Sebastian Scotney\, UK Jazz News \n“[Keezer} is a brilliant soloist and a sensitive accompanist. Paired with the sincere and masterful vocalist\, Gillian Margot\, they make an outstanding duo.” — Dee Dee McNeil\, Making a Scene \n“Give the couple ten pieces of magic to work on and the resulting product is beyond perfection.” — Lance Liddle\, Bebop Spoken Here \n“Margot’s got one of those voices you don’t forget — rich\, smoky\, and totally in control\, gliding across registers with ease. Keezer stays out of the way when she’s singing\, then jumps in with the perfect turn of phrase\, like he knows exactly where the story needs to go next.” — Tim Larsen\, Jazz Views
