SUMMARY:Jake Worthington
DESCRIPTION:For Big Loud Texas traditionalist Jake Worthington\, country music is in his DNA. The La Porte\, Texas native was raised on his grandfather’s porch performances of Ray Price\, Merle Haggard and George Jones\, and soon picked up his own Gibson acoustic to realize the breadth of his soon-to-be-classic\, wide\, and wild voice. Now\, Worthington breathes fresh life into dance halls\, beer joints\, and ballrooms from Texas to Tennessee with his growing catalog – his sophomore album When I Write The Song is out now with Miranda Lambert collaboration “Hello Shitty Day\,” “I’m The One (feat. Marty Stuart)\,” viral “It Ain’t The Whiskey” and more. Captivating the masses with his honky-tonk stylings\, the singer-songwriter hits the road this fall joining Zach Top as direct support on all dates of the Cold Beer & Country Music Tour followed by supporting slots on Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood Tour. “I believe in country music as much as I believe in my next breath\,” Worthington declares\, and “blame it on my raising\, but I think there ought to be room for country in country music.”

SUMMARY:Royal & the Serpent
DESCRIPTION:Royal & the Serpent is an artist entirely unafraid to bare the deepest and darkest parts of her psyche. After making her Atlantic Records debut with the 2020 EP\, get a grip – highlighted by the RIAA Gold-certified single “Overwhelmed\,” which spent 22 weeks on Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart – the L.A.-based singer-songwriter revealed even more of her frenetic inner world in 2022 with IF I DIED WOULD ANYONE CARE and Happiness Is An Inside Job. Along the way she also teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated/multi-Platinum certified GAYLE for vengeful collaboration “kinda smacks” and The Beaches on “Blame Brett (feat. Royal & the Serpent). Her single “Wasteland” from the Arcane League of Legends soundtrack has further cemented her impact\, garnering over 115M global streams; she notably performed the track at The Game Awards in December 2024.\n\nRoyal’s unfiltered songwriting has proved wildly resonant to her ever-growing fanbase\, building a close-knit community of fans undeniably drawn to her one-of-a-kind balance of intense sensitivity and unruly self-possession. “The main reason I make music is that it’s the best therapy I could ever ask for: the process of taking everything in my brain and putting it on paper and then singing it out loud for people is so helpful and healing for me. The idea that my own expression can affect people in positive ways is such a blessing and a gift; I don’t ever take it lightly. I just want to keep telling my truth and reach as many people as I possibly can\, and see where this little journey takes us.”

SUMMARY:Eddie 9V
DESCRIPTION:Eddie 9V has an endless stockpile of cool stories – and you’ll find twelve of them on his most recent studio album Saratoga\, released in November 2024 on the fabled Ruf Records label. A thrilling mix of Southern soul\, blues\, rock\, and funk\, Saratoga proved to be a gamechanger: a road trip-ready record filled with razor-sharp observations\, vintage textures\, and raw humanity. It also marked a major career milestone: Eddie 9V’s soulful sound began reaching hundreds of thousands of new fans across the globe. Now signed to Easy Eye Sound — the Nashville-based label founded by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys — Eddie 9V is preparing to release a brand-new album in 2026. And the momentum keeps growing. Since Saratoga dropped\, Eddie’s monthly listeners on Spotify have exploded from 8\,000 to peaking at over 800\,000.. Songs like “Halo\,” “Saratoga” and “Love Moves Slow” have become SiriusXM Spectrum-certified tracks\, gaining steady spins and major audience love. But this rise is years in the making. From the day he first slung a guitar on a local Georgia stage\, Eddie 9V (born Brooks Mason) has been an artist to watch. First cutting his teeth in cover bands and regional blues circuits\, he made the leap to full-time frontman with a name that couldn’t be ignored. “I wanted to start from scratch – and I ain’t never heard of no bluesman named Eddie 9V.” That leap paid off. His early albums Left My Soul In Memphis (2019) and Little Black Flies (2021) turned heads for their wild energy and vintage flair. 2022’s Capricorn was a breakout moment\, earning rave reviews from Classic Rock\, The Guardian\, and more. It debuted at #1 on the blues charts before being dethroned by Bonnie Raitt — “a cool story to be able to say\,” Eddie laughs. By the time Saratoga arrived\, Eddie 9V had evolved into a full-spectrum songwriter\, tapping into deep wells of soul and storytelling alongside his brother and longtime collaborator Lane Kelly. Much of the album was recorded at their Echo Deco Studio in Atlanta\, with some sessions at Denver’s Crown Lanes Studio. From the disco-tinged horns of the title track to the fuzzed-out dreamscape of “Delta\,” it’s a record that widened the lens without losing the grit. Now with a major label partner\, national tours\, SiriusXM airplay\, and streaming growth that shows no signs of slowing\, Eddie 9V is poised for the next chapter. A new album is on the horizon. The band is sharper than ever. And if Saratoga was the ignition\, what’s coming next is the open highway. “I’m already writing new songs\,” he says. “You never stop.”

SUMMARY:Mekons
DESCRIPTION:Sonic adventurers\, punk rock fundamentalists\, exuberant luddites\, willing outcasts. \n“The mekons are the most revolutionary group in the history of rock ‘n’ roll” – wrote rock critic Lester Bangs \nThe genre-defying mekons formed in Leeds\, England in 1977.  Born from the emerging British punk scene\, they progressed from art students with no musical skills to the prolific\, raucous progeny of Hank Williams. This current classic line-up has remained intact since the mid-1980s\, continuing to regularly tour and release new music through to now.  Theirs is an improbable history – a surprising and influential embrace of folk and country music with occasional forays into the art world. They have always worked collaboratively and collectively with all work credited to the band\, never to individuals. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and has included exhibitions in the UK and US\, a deranged pirate musical recorded and staged with Kathy Acker\, an art performance with Vito Acconci\, and several books including the unique art catalog/unfinished novel Mekons United.   “Revenge of the mekons”\, a documentary about the band received nationwide release in 2015 on Music Box Films.  The mekons continue to make bold\, unpredictable music while staying true to the punk ethos. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and they remain one of the truly great live bands. \nThe band  released their latest album “Horror” on Fire Records in early 2025.  A dub album of Horror remixed by Grammy nominee Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu) will be released on Fire Records in the summer of 2026.

SUMMARY:The Wedding Present - Seamonsters 35th Anniversary Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Wedding Present was born in Leeds\, in the UK\, in 1985 with the release of the debut single GO OUT AND GET EM’ BOY! and the band’s first album\, GEORGE BEST\, followed a couple of years later. With the early releases on their own label\, the band acquired a reputation for bittersweet\, breathtakingly honest love songs immersed in whirlwind guitars\, so it was quite extraordinary that they decided to explore traditional Eastern European folk music for their major label debut on RCA Records in 1989 with UKRAINSKI VISTUPI V JOHNA PEELA. However\, this was soon to be followed by the more traditionally incendiary BIZARRO\, which featured their first hit single KENNEDY. \nThe band’s next step was to enlist the aid of the noise-mongering [and\, at that point\, relatively unknown] sound engineer Steve Albini. The resulting SEAMONSTERS\, recorded in the snowy wilds of Minnesota in just 11 days\, suggested a more thoughtful Wedding Present.

SUMMARY:Angel Du$t\, Outta Pocket\, JIVEBOMB\, Recollection
DESCRIPTION:Justice Tripp lives in the future. For nearly two decades\, the musician has consistently been ahead of the curve: first with Trapped Under Ice\, where he led the way for a new wave of heavy hardcore\, and then as the mastermind behind Angel Du$t\, where he blazed the trail for the current generation of aggressive musicians to branch out into unabashedly melodic territory. Tripp’s work is marked by an ever-evolving creativity that’s made him highly influential\, but which has often put him a number of steps ahead of the very trends that he’s helped to inspire. Now Angel Du$t are back with their new album\, Brand New Soul: a fearless and open-hearted tribute to all things rock\, offering listeners a chance to be right there with them on the cutting edge. Tripp might forever be keeping an eye on the future\, but Angel Du$t’s time is now.

SUMMARY:Dirty Three
DESCRIPTION:Like Tortoise\, Gastr del Sol\, and\, later\, Godspeed You! Black Emperor\, The Dirty Three helped reinvent the language of indie rock\, their ragged and ecstatic instrumentals expanding the form’s sense of possibility in the mid-‘90s. Guitarist Mick Turner\, drummer Jim White\, and violinist Warren Ellis were busy members of the fertile Melbourne scene in the ‘80s\, shuttling in and out of assorted scabrous bands. Their collective reputation grew quickly after they formed in the early ‘90s\, their savage and unhinged shows in Australian pubs leading to an international record deal and major tours. Horse Stories and Ocean Songs and Whatever You Love\, You Are established them as a truly great improvisational act\, reframing the terms of a power trio by adding absolute punk gusto to music that sounds a little like jazz\, a little like a string band\, and a lot like nothing else.\n\nTurner\, White\, and Ellis have become in-demand players on their own in the last 30 years. White is a premier session musician\, working with the likes of Bill Callahan\, Cat Power\, and PJ Harvey. Ellis is the wild-eyed\, wild-bearded counterpart of Nick Cave. And aside from his own consummate solo records\, Turner has worked with Will Oldham and Courtney Barnett. But on 2024’s unstoppable Love Changes Everything\, their first album in a dozen years\, The Dirty Three proved that their vocabulary and chemistry have only expanded. The album’s sixth and final untitled movement is music of pure rapture\, the three old friends coalescing in the last half with a roar that sounds like love\, beauty\, and heaven all at once.

SUMMARY:Nothing full body 2\, Cryogeyser\, Violent Magic Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:Nothing have always been rule-breakers. Shoegaze renegades who’ve rebuilt the stereotypically lightweight genre in their own bloodyknuckled American image. Outlaw poets spilling existential dread on mile-wide canvasses of fuzz and reverb. Beginning as a Philly-born bedroom solo project in 2010\, Nothing’s music has always captured the full scale of the human condition\, both the blaring anger and the whispering sadness. A Short History of Decay\, Nothing’s fifth solo album and first for Run For Cover Records\, widens that aperture even further\, providing the most hi-def rendering of Nothing to date. The band have never sounded this colossal\, never felt this intimate\, never been this honest.

SUMMARY:Addison Groove Project with special guest Jennifer Hartswick
DESCRIPTION:It’s been about a lifetime since Addison Groove Project last performed live. Brendan’s a doctor now\, Andrew’s a therapist\, Ben’s a chef\, Dave’s a middle school band director\, and Rob… well Rob still plays (Matisyahu\, Star Kitchen) around software development gigs. Everyone’s got kids and instead of gathering together every weekend at another iconic New England rock club\, the band busts chops and shares eye-opening music in the vaunted Loose Moose group chat. No one ever hated anyone else back when the band was touring\, but we do that even less now. Out of the group chat\, the desire to play together again after 12 years was formulated and here we are tryna’ sell you some tickets again.Forming in high school in the suburbs outside of Boston\, Addison Groove Project gained a reputation as one of the United States’ hardest working and most talented young bands in the late 90s and early 2000s. Just a bunch of teenage dumb dumbs driving all over the country in a busted-up van\, we earned a national following and slots on some of the country’s most prestigious festivals like Bonnaroo by combining funk\, soul\, rock\, groove and jazz. Come out in March to see if we’ve still got it or if we should stick to our day jobs.

SUMMARY:Ben Quad
DESCRIPTION:The story of BEN QUAD is punctuated by moments of randomness: a chance meeting via Craigslist bonding over bands like Microwave and Modern Baseball. An out-of-nowhere name drop from indie tastemaker Ian Cohen lauding their debut album\, 2022’s I’m Scared That’s All There Is. A one-off sonic curveball that somehow turned into their biggest song – and\, without them realizing it at the time\, a brand-new freedom to reinvent themselves.\n\nBut serendipity has done more than bring Ben Quad here\, to the release of WISHER\, their first LP for Pure Noise Records: It’s taught them to thrive inside the unpredictable\, to harness a no-limits musical mentality and self-effacing sense of humor and turn it into some of the most resonant\, captivating emo of today. Well\, actually\, post-emo.\n\n“This is our love letter to the genre\,” singer/guitarist Sam Wegrzynski says of the album. “It’s an amalgamation of all the shit emo kids like: screaming\, synths\, pop sensibilities all mixed with crazy emotional stuff. What’s post-emo if not the next evolution?”\n\nThe Oklahoma City-based quartet have always been evolving. I’m Scared That’s All There Is cemented them as a force in the modern emo movement\, landing them on bills with the likes of Hot Mulligan and Knuckle Puck. The standalone single “You’re Part of It” added a harder\, screamo-tinged edge to their sound\, while an outpouring of support to a social media shitpost declaring “If ‘You’re Part of It’ gets 10K streams by Wednesday\, we’ll put out a screamo EP” took them even further down that road with Ephemera\, their 2024 EP. (The song currently boasts more than 4 million streams.) Now\, with Wisher\, the band deliver a true follow-up to their debut that fully embraces everything that’s followed it since.\n\nThe 10 songs on Wisher find Wegrzynski\, Edgar Viveros (lead guitar)\, Henry Shields (bass/backing vocals) and Isaac Young (drums) pulling from every corner of their record collections: jagged punk riffs\, glassy math-rock\, sticky pop hooks and glitchy production that push toward something futuristic. But rather than a scattershot collage\, these elements recur as motifs – a melody here\, a guitar line there – stitched together with purpose and intention.\n\nFirst single “It’s Just A Title” serves up a groove factory complemented by smooth vocals and lifting keyboards\, while the frantic “Painless” rips through speakers with the ferocity and melodicism of They’re Only Chasing Safety-era Underoath\, if their guitarists spent more time studying Midwest emo than metalcore. “Did You Decide to Skip Arts and Crafts” welcomes Treaty Oak Revival singer Sam Canty – and a well-placed banjo – onto a genre-blending Tumblr-era throwback\, “Classic Case of Dead Guy on the Ground” ascends with a preposterously sublime falsetto hook\, and the brooding “West of West” brings things full circle for the band with a cameo from Microwave’s Nathan Hardy.\n\nLeaving the Sooner State for New Jersey\, the band connected with producer Jon Markson (The Story So Far\, Drug Church) to bring the album to life\, taking up residence at his farm/studio for their first real studio experience. Amidst barnyard animals and peaceful countryside\, the idyllic setting provided the perfect backdrop – full of time and space – to find themselves and the next evolution of their sound.\n\n“Our older stuff was done driving to and from places on the weekend\,” Wegrzynski says. “But this time\, we had access to rooms full of instruments like banjos and sleigh bells and more amp heads than I could ever imagine. I think it’s a change in sound because it’s a change in scenery. How can you be sad in a beautiful place like that?”\n\nThat shift in perspective carries directly into Wisher’s subject matter. In stark contrast to the heavy existential questions the band posed on I’m Scared That’s All There Is\, the songs here aren’t about survival but rather savoring life’s small victories – the moments that might not feel like much at the time but can snowball into something bigger if you only allow yourself to find the joy in them. In many ways\, it’s much like Ben Quad themselves\, their own story built on a string of seemingly minor twists of fate that’s only been amplified by a relentless DIY attitude and instinct to chase every idea\, no matter how improbable.\n\n“We really wanted to build a more positive outlook\, a more hopeful tone\,” Viveros explains. “We’re still talking about love\, loss – all the things that emo bands write about – but we wanted to spin it on its head and let people know that things can get better. Life is what you make it\, and it’s important to grasp onto the little moments.”\n\nRead Less

SUMMARY:The Slackers
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nFor 32 years\, the NYC-based and critically acclaimed Slackers have been touring the world with their blend of Ska\, Reggae\, and Soul. \nSince 1991\, the Slackers have released fifteen albums and countless singles\, while their 1000s of live performances feed their fans with energetic sets of ecstatic music. \nThe Slackers have been called ‘the Sound of New York’ by the New York Times. They were described by Brooklyn Vegan as a “clean mix of Ska\, Reggae\, and Soul that gets dirtied up by Vic Ruggiero’s tough New York accent.’ \nIn April 2022\, The Slackers released a new album\, “Dont Let the Sunlight Fool Ya” (Pirates Press) which quickly shot to the top of the US Billboard charts.  The first time that a Slackers’ album has charted!  Ironically after 30 years as a band\, they qualified as a Billboard ‘new artist!’ The Washington Post noted that the Slackers “remain at the top of their game.” \nThe chart-topping sales of “Dont Let the Sunlight Fool Ya” capped a 2-year comeback of the Slackers.  When Covid stopped live shows in 2020\, the Slackers pivoted to livestreams and made 5 full band concerts that were broadcast internationally to an audience of thousands.  After the streams\, they stayed in the studio and recorded the tunes that became ‘Dont Let the Sunlight Fool Ya.’ \nReturning to live gigging in the 2nd half of 2021 through to the end of 2022\, they have managed to make up all the shows that were postponed from 2020.  This included a triumphant European club date tour in October 2022 that included 9 sellout shows including London’s Underworld. \nIn 2023\, the Slackers are booking 90 concerts in the USA\, Canada\, Europe\, and Latin America.  They have announced appearances at festivals such as Punk Rock Bowling\, Zwaarte Kross\, Rebellion\, Punk Rock Holiday with many more to come

DESCRIPTION:For over three decades\, The Greyboy Allstars have been a cornerstone of American groove music—merging jazz\, soul\, and funk with the swagger of hip-hop and the improvisational freedom of the avant-garde. Since their early days in the 1990s San Diego scene\, the Allstars have created a sound all their own: West Coast Boogaloo\, named after their landmark debut album with funk icon Fred Wesley. That record\, West Coast Boogaloo (1994)\, was a defining statement—deep\, danceable\, and drenched in soul—and helped spark the West Coast’s acid jazz and funk revival. Their follow-up\, A Town Called Earth\, expanded the band’s scope\, layering cosmic jazz influences and cinematic textures onto their already formidable funk foundation. Both albums remain touchstones of modern groove music—sampled\, revered\, and referenced by DJs\, beatmakers\, and next-generation jazz artists the world over. \nYet The Greyboy Allstars have never been content to rest on legacy. In an era where jazz is being redefined by young innovators across London\, New York\, and Los Angeles\, the Allstars remain essential listening—a band that helped build the house and is still remodeling it from the inside. Their latest release\, Grab Bag: 2007–2023\, is a powerful reminder that this group is not only active\, but also evolving. A compilation of previously unreleased tracks\, deep cuts\, and left-field gems recorded over the past 15 years\, Grab Bag is both a treasure trove for longtime fans and a perfect entry point for new listeners. From tight rhythm workouts to spacey organ-fueled explorations\, the album proves that the band is as inspired and locked-in as ever—still funky\, still fearless\, and still pushing boundaries. \nEach member of The Greyboy Allstars brings a distinct voice and towering resume\, yet together they form a rare musical ecosystem built on trust\, taste\, and telepathy. Saxophonist and flutist Karl Denson is a relentless creative force whose fiery playing blends the soul-jazz tradition of Sonny Rollins with the raw funk of Maceo Parker. As the leader of his own Tiny Universe and longtime touring member of The Rolling Stones\, Denson has become one of the most recognizable horn players in modern music. Keyboardist Robert Walter\, a titan of the Hammond B3\, brings deep grooves\, lush harmonies\, and fearless improvisation. His solo records and collaborations have made him a cult favorite across funk and jazz scenes worldwide. Guitarist Michael Andrews\, also known as Elgin Park\, is the Allstars’ melodic anchor\, weaving tasteful lines inspired by Grant Green and Wes Montgomery. As a celebrated film composer (Donnie Darko\, Pharrel’s Piece by Piece)\, his work transcends genres—but his guitar voice in the band is unmistakable and vital. On bass\, Chris Stillwell delivers the unsung magic that makes the band swing—his lines are fluid\, funky\, and always in the pocket\, fusing Motown depth with California cool. Rounding out the rhythm section\, drummer Aaron Redfield brings nuance\, muscle\, and rhythmic command. Whether locking in a tight breakbeat or opening up the kit for sprawling jazz interplay\, Redfield is the heartbeat of the band’s evolving sound. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs they continue to tour and record\, The Greyboy Allstars remain one of the most exciting live bands on the planet—schooled in tradition but never bound by it. Their music nods to legends like Ahmad Jamal\, Wayne Shorter\, Thelonious Monk\, and Eddie Harris\, while sounding utterly timeless and unmistakably their own. In a time when jazz is colliding with hip-hop\, Afrobeat\, psych\, and beat culture\, The Greyboy Allstars are not just relevant—they’re foundational. They’ve been laying bricks in this house since day one\, and their influence only grows deeper.
