SUMMARY:Bixby
DESCRIPTION:Bixby is a Los Angeles–based singer\, songwriter\, and producer blending shimmering alt-pop\, soaring falsettos\, and emotionally charged hooks. His breakout single endlessly caught the attention of Dylan Brady of 100 gecs\, leading to the release of his 2023 EP are you sleeping alone again? – a collection of sticky alt-pop anthems and intimate ballads – on Brady’s Atlantic Records imprint Dog Show. \nIn 2024\, Bixby released Distance\, a euphoric summer track with a Power Rangers–inspired music video. The song became his fastest-growing release\, topping a million streams in its first month and reaching #34 on Japan’s Shazam chart. He followed up with Desire (produced by Dylan Brady) and Darling He Lied (featuring Starfall) – a viral breakup ballad that sparked tens of thousands of TikTok videos across Southeast Asia. \nFollowing a pair of elevated R&B bangers with longtime collaborator Joshwa (whyy\, you know) in 2025\, Bixby began rolling out his most fully realized music yet. After crushing his debut performance at 88rising’s Head in the Clouds and a tour in Asia\, Bixby released Feel It on in early 2026 – the first single off his long awaited debut album. He will embark on a headline NA tour Summer 2026.

SUMMARY:Greg Mendez
DESCRIPTION:Greg Mendez has always been an economical songwriter – he wields restraint and simplicity as tools\, the core of his songs sharpened into simple\, cutting truths. On Beauty Land\, his new album and debut LP for Dead Oceans\, we’re guided by a wry but forgiving narrator\, an underdog who has learned to balance cynicism and faith. These songs are self-effacing without self-pity\, carefully constructed altars of imperfection channeled through pop melodies\, shimmering but urgent guitars\, and a voice that reaches for choir boy innocence. \n  \nThe bulk of Beauty Land was recorded directly to tape\, almost entirely alone in Mendez’s makeshift home studio in Philadelphia – a small room with no natural light. It’s his first full length since his unexpected self-titled breakthrough in 2023\, which was a slow burn success following 15 years of writing and recording music in relative obscurity between Philly and New York. Beauty Land picks up where we left off three years ago – plumbing the depths of grief\, love\, and addiction – but its intense\, quiet clarity shows Mendez at his songwriting best.

SUMMARY:Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band
DESCRIPTION:New Threats from the Soul is a masterclass in reducing the sublime to the prosaic\, immensity to infinitesimally\, and vice versa (the trick can only work both ways). Everything in our universe is essentially flotsam or jetsam\, rubbish heaps of fragments and shards. We\, especially\, are jerry-rigs of bubblegum and driftwood\, inconsistencies and incoherencies\, dead dreams and necrophagous hopes. The record functions in parallel with Kafka’s winking dictum that there is an infinite amount of hope in the universe\, just not for us. New Threats suggests that maybe\, just maybe\, something like redemption is possible\, but only once we’re entirely emptied out and hawked in toto down at Walden Pawn.\n\nNext month\, the Roadhouse Band will play a handful of dates in the Midwest and South\, with a robust UK and EU tour to follow. Today’s newly announced dates will bring the band to additional cities in the South and Midwest\, as well as cities on the West Coast. A full list of dates is available below.\n\n“New Threats from the Soul [is] a beautiful and wildly smart record about making do in an upside-down world.” — Amanda Petsurich\, The New Yorker\n\n“If you don’t know it yet\, it’s my privilege to tell you that Ryan Davis is one of the greatest songwriters of his generation.” — Nathan Salsberg\n\nRead Less

SUMMARY:Of Montreal
DESCRIPTION:On of Montreal’s seminal album The Sunlandic Twins\, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Barnes followed up their 2004 Polyvinyl debut\, Satanic Panic in the Attic\, with what became the band’s most commercially successful album to date. Originally released in April 2005\, The Sunlandic Twins marked a significant turning point for Montreal\, showcasing Barnes’ evolving songwriting and a shift towards a more electronic and dance-oriented sound. The album’s vibrant blend of synth-pop and psych rock helped cement its status as a fan favorite and a defining moment in the band’s career. Iconic tracks like “Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games” and “The Party’s Crashing Us” became some of the most beloved songs in the band’s extensive catalog.

SUMMARY:PawPaw Rod
DESCRIPTION:PawPaw Rod\, the Hawaii-born\, Oklahoma-raised rapper and singer\, discovered his passion for music and writing during his upbringing as a military brat. Moving frequently\, he found solace in the familiar sounds of his favorite records. When speaking on his artistry\, he explains that during his formative years in Norman\, OK\, “There was an absence of a dominant or regional sound\, especially for black artists. This afforded me the freedom to pull from everything\, crucially shaping my music today\, a credit I attribute to my childhood experiences of moving around various cultures and tribes.” PawPaw Rod grew up on a steady diet of Maxwell\, Prince\, The Gap Band\, and Bill Withers. He first caught the performance bug singing in church\, sharing that “ever since that first time singing on stage\, I knew I would forever be on a journey of chasing that feeling.” \nPawPaw Rod released his explosive debut single\, “HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS\,” in 2020\, seamlessly merging hip-hop\, 60s soul\, funk\, and alternative. \nAcross four EPs — A PawPaw Rod EP (2021)\, Another PawPaw Rod EP (2022)\, This Must Be a PawPaw EP (2023)\, and Doobie Mouth (2024) — Rod has cultivated a catalog that has now surpassed 200M streams and drawn critical praise from outlets like Complex\, FADER\, GQ\, Nylon\, and Rolling Stone. His 2024 project Doobie Mouth arrived ahead of his first North American headline tour. \nAs a live performer\, Rod has appeared on some of the biggest festival stages including Lollapalooza\, Lightning in a Bottle\, Austin City Limits\, and Coachella — where he joined Neil Frances in 2024 and Polo & Pan in 2025. \nRod’s music has resonated across screens\, featured in shows like Netflix’s Outer Banks\, Apple TV+’s Platonic\, and HBO’s Insecure\, as well as major campaigns for Apple and Nike. In 2024\, he was one of the faces of GAP’s global “Give Your Gift” holiday campaign\, appearing in stores and on billboards worldwide. His music has also reached fans through syncs in MLB The Show and Fortnite Radio.

SUMMARY:Son Little
DESCRIPTION:Son Little\, praised by American Songwriter as “one of the best songwriters working today\,” conceived his latest album\, Like Neptune\, in a cabin overlooking the Delaware River in upstate New York. Trading in the existential dread permeating his previous work for unbridled joy and self-acceptance\, Son Little transmutes the chronic pain of self-doubt into a beautiful and freeing opus about overcoming generational trauma. Hailed by Afropunk as “a stunning statement of purpose\,” Like Neptune decorates the altar of the primordial blues and elevating the labor of healing to high art. “I’ve always felt as though I was making music because I had to\, something inside compelled me. Fueled me\,” Little shared. “This the first time in a long time I’m making music for the pure joy of creating.” Son Little and his band\, comprised of Little on vocals/guitar\, Steve McKie (drums)\, and DeShawn Alexander (keys/bass)\, will tour North America for the first time support of Like Neptune through November and December\nRead Less

SUMMARY:Jake Worthington
DESCRIPTION:For Big Loud Texas traditionalist Jake Worthington\, country music is in his DNA. The La Porte\, Texas native was raised on his grandfather’s porch performances of Ray Price\, Merle Haggard and George Jones\, and soon picked up his own Gibson acoustic to realize the breadth of his soon-to-be-classic\, wide\, and wild voice. Now\, Worthington breathes fresh life into dance halls\, beer joints\, and ballrooms from Texas to Tennessee with his growing catalog – his sophomore album When I Write The Song is out now with Miranda Lambert collaboration “Hello Shitty Day\,” “I’m The One (feat. Marty Stuart)\,” viral “It Ain’t The Whiskey” and more. Captivating the masses with his honky-tonk stylings\, the singer-songwriter hits the road this fall joining Zach Top as direct support on all dates of the Cold Beer & Country Music Tour followed by supporting slots on Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood Tour. “I believe in country music as much as I believe in my next breath\,” Worthington declares\, and “blame it on my raising\, but I think there ought to be room for country in country music.”

SUMMARY:Royal & the Serpent
DESCRIPTION:Royal & the Serpent is an artist entirely unafraid to bare the deepest and darkest parts of her psyche. After making her Atlantic Records debut with the 2020 EP\, get a grip – highlighted by the RIAA Gold-certified single “Overwhelmed\,” which spent 22 weeks on Billboard’s “Alternative Airplay” chart – the L.A.-based singer-songwriter revealed even more of her frenetic inner world in 2022 with IF I DIED WOULD ANYONE CARE and Happiness Is An Inside Job. Along the way she also teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated/multi-Platinum certified GAYLE for vengeful collaboration “kinda smacks” and The Beaches on “Blame Brett (feat. Royal & the Serpent). Her single “Wasteland” from the Arcane League of Legends soundtrack has further cemented her impact\, garnering over 115M global streams; she notably performed the track at The Game Awards in December 2024.\n\nRoyal’s unfiltered songwriting has proved wildly resonant to her ever-growing fanbase\, building a close-knit community of fans undeniably drawn to her one-of-a-kind balance of intense sensitivity and unruly self-possession. “The main reason I make music is that it’s the best therapy I could ever ask for: the process of taking everything in my brain and putting it on paper and then singing it out loud for people is so helpful and healing for me. The idea that my own expression can affect people in positive ways is such a blessing and a gift; I don’t ever take it lightly. I just want to keep telling my truth and reach as many people as I possibly can\, and see where this little journey takes us.”

SUMMARY:Eddie 9V
DESCRIPTION:Eddie 9V has an endless stockpile of cool stories – and you’ll find twelve of them on his most recent studio album Saratoga\, released in November 2024 on the fabled Ruf Records label. A thrilling mix of Southern soul\, blues\, rock\, and funk\, Saratoga proved to be a gamechanger: a road trip-ready record filled with razor-sharp observations\, vintage textures\, and raw humanity. It also marked a major career milestone: Eddie 9V’s soulful sound began reaching hundreds of thousands of new fans across the globe. Now signed to Easy Eye Sound — the Nashville-based label founded by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys — Eddie 9V is preparing to release a brand-new album in 2026. And the momentum keeps growing. Since Saratoga dropped\, Eddie’s monthly listeners on Spotify have exploded from 8\,000 to peaking at over 800\,000.. Songs like “Halo\,” “Saratoga” and “Love Moves Slow” have become SiriusXM Spectrum-certified tracks\, gaining steady spins and major audience love. But this rise is years in the making. From the day he first slung a guitar on a local Georgia stage\, Eddie 9V (born Brooks Mason) has been an artist to watch. First cutting his teeth in cover bands and regional blues circuits\, he made the leap to full-time frontman with a name that couldn’t be ignored. “I wanted to start from scratch – and I ain’t never heard of no bluesman named Eddie 9V.” That leap paid off. His early albums Left My Soul In Memphis (2019) and Little Black Flies (2021) turned heads for their wild energy and vintage flair. 2022’s Capricorn was a breakout moment\, earning rave reviews from Classic Rock\, The Guardian\, and more. It debuted at #1 on the blues charts before being dethroned by Bonnie Raitt — “a cool story to be able to say\,” Eddie laughs. By the time Saratoga arrived\, Eddie 9V had evolved into a full-spectrum songwriter\, tapping into deep wells of soul and storytelling alongside his brother and longtime collaborator Lane Kelly. Much of the album was recorded at their Echo Deco Studio in Atlanta\, with some sessions at Denver’s Crown Lanes Studio. From the disco-tinged horns of the title track to the fuzzed-out dreamscape of “Delta\,” it’s a record that widened the lens without losing the grit. Now with a major label partner\, national tours\, SiriusXM airplay\, and streaming growth that shows no signs of slowing\, Eddie 9V is poised for the next chapter. A new album is on the horizon. The band is sharper than ever. And if Saratoga was the ignition\, what’s coming next is the open highway. “I’m already writing new songs\,” he says. “You never stop.”

DESCRIPTION:Sonic adventurers\, punk rock fundamentalists\, exuberant luddites\, willing outcasts. \n“The mekons are the most revolutionary group in the history of rock ‘n’ roll” – wrote rock critic Lester Bangs \nThe genre-defying mekons formed in Leeds\, England in 1977.  Born from the emerging British punk scene\, they progressed from art students with no musical skills to the prolific\, raucous progeny of Hank Williams. This current classic line-up has remained intact since the mid-1980s\, continuing to regularly tour and release new music through to now.  Theirs is an improbable history – a surprising and influential embrace of folk and country music with occasional forays into the art world. They have always worked collaboratively and collectively with all work credited to the band\, never to individuals. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and has included exhibitions in the UK and US\, a deranged pirate musical recorded and staged with Kathy Acker\, an art performance with Vito Acconci\, and several books including the unique art catalog/unfinished novel Mekons United.   “Revenge of the mekons”\, a documentary about the band received nationwide release in 2015 on Music Box Films.  The mekons continue to make bold\, unpredictable music while staying true to the punk ethos. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and they remain one of the truly great live bands. \nThe band  released their latest album “Horror” on Fire Records in early 2025.  A dub album of Horror remixed by Grammy nominee Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu) will be released on Fire Records in the summer of 2026.
