Annual Easter Celebration
We warmly invite you to our annual Easter Celebration on Sunday, April 5. Worship begins at 10:30 am, with a message from Rev. Hardies and beautiful music from our First Parish Choir, vocalists and musicians. Join us after worship for a light brunch and a family Easter Egg Hunt in the Old Burying Ground (a First Parish tradition!). At First Parish we celebrate an “Easter for all of us.” In other words, you needn’t be Christian to find meaning in the Easter story. On Easter we ask: What does “resurrection” mean for our lives? When have we witnessed new life emerge after death and loss? When have we discovered hope in the midst of despair? When have dead ends turned into surprising new beginnings for us? We needn’t take the Easter story literally in order to take it seriously—just as we take seriously all the stories from the many traditions that we wrestle with on Sunday mornings.
