Geneva Rust-Orta is a comic and writer originally from Oakland, CA. She was named Second Funniest Jew at the 2015 Jewish Comedian of the Year Festival in London, UK. She took a half-hour comedy show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016 and 2017 and performed another half-hour, “Gayby Girl”, off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse in 2022 and 2023. Currently based in Brooklyn, she is a regular at the SoHo Playhouse Huron Comedy Club and was titled “Resident Sex Symbol” at Cuckoo’s Open Mic. Originally from the Bay, she’s performed in the Oakland Comedy Festival, Santa Cruz Comedy Festival, and SF Sketchfest.
