2nd Annual Harvard Square Asian Night Market Returns Larger Than Ever on September 5, 2026
Following last year’s sold-out inaugural celebration, the Harvard Square Philippine American Alliance (HSPAA) has announced the return of the Harvard Square Asian Night Market on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Expanding its physical footprint onto Brattle and Church Streets, this year’s free, family-friendly outdoor block party will feature double the food offerings, expanded cultural performances, interactive competitions, and a return of the popular 3-Point Basketball Shootout.
Event Highlights & Program Schedule
- Authentic Culinary Market & Beer Garden: Over a dozen local, immigrant-owned food vendors serving authentic Asian street food, alongside an outdoor Asian Beer Garden (21+ with valid government ID).
- Live Performances: Performances include Cubinese fusion music by Son Dynasty, traditional Lion and Fan Dances by the Rice Angel Dance Group, a cultural presentation by the Chinese American Association of Cambridge (CAAC), and music by DJ Good Vibes.
- Community Stage Contests: Interactive stage challenges open to public participants, including the Chopsticks Ping-Pong Contest, the Mochi Donut Eating Contest, and the Wusong Road Noodle Challenge, featuring gift certificate prizes.
- K-Pop & Anime Random Play Dance: A open-participation dance meetup hosted on the main thoroughfare, led by event coordinator Jacky Ha.
- 3-Point Basketball Shootout: Hosted on Brattle Plaza in partnership with Boston Hoops. The tournament is free to enter, with a cash prize awarded to the champion. Advance registration is required at www.hspaa.org.
