This summer, Longy’s Divergent Studio is the home to 30 astonishing young composers from across the country, each one with their own artistic voice, and vision. All 30 of these composers have written a new work that has been workshopped and will be premiered as a part of the festival, and this evening, ensemble-in-residence Divergent Trio (Corrine Byrne, soprano; Donald Berman, piano; Sarah Whitney, violin) will give the world premieres of pieces by Sadie Olsen, Rodrigo Paulo, Alex Van Sant, Daniel Hagenbuch, Whitney Sheng, Sebas Paredes, Se Young Ko, Chase Viachec, and Claude DiTanna.
