Harvard Book Store welcomes Loubna Mrie—Syrian writer and journalist whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The London Review of Books, Rolling Stone, and The Atlantic—for a discussion of her new book, Defiance: A Memoir of Awakening, Rebellion, and Survival in Syria. She will be joined in conversation by Ambassador Samantha Power—Pulitzer Prize–winning author, Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under President Biden, and the Anna Lindh Professor of the Practice of Global Leadership and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, as well as the William D. Zabel Professor of Practice in Human Rights at Harvard Law School.
