Our weekly Sunday family events conclude on August 23 with a Youth Poetry Slam, open to ages 12-18. All levels of experience are welcome! Come slam or witness poetry on the grounds once occupied by the famous 19th century poet Longfellow.
If you are interested in competing, please fill out the form and arrive by 10:45 am. We will have limited signup slots available the day of. The slam will consist of three rounds. In each round, poets will have three minutes with a ten-second grace period. The winner will be invited to be featured during the annual Student Poetry Awards Ceremony! While it is a competition, this event is meant to be a fun way to uplift youth, give space for their voices, connect with the community, and bond over a shared love for the written word!
