Solstice 2026 at Mount Auburn Cemetery

Join us for SOLSTICE: Reflections on Winter Light at Mount Auburn Cemetery, as the landscape activates with large-scale light and sound art.

SOLSTICE: Reflections on Winter Light is an annual event at Mount Auburn Cemetery that includes an outdoor journey through large-scale light and sound artworks, created by MASARY, a Lantern Walk, and an indoor experience with candle lighting and live music. For the 2026 event, there will be four new artworks!

For Your Safety: We strongly encourage attendees to dress warmly and wear suitable footwear. SOLSTICE is, primarily, an outdoor event and the route includes small hills, some stairs, pavement, and uneven terrain. Attendees must follow all instructions and guidance from Event Staff and stay on the illuminated path/inside the chapels. Please help us preserve Mount Auburn’s beauty and respect the families of those buried here and do not stray from the paved areas.

Tickets available here. For additional information about the event, please visit: https://www.mountauburnsolstice.org/.
