Mardi Gras Party Fund Raiser
There is a place in Cambridge you may not know about called OUR PLACE, the Salvation Army Daycare Center for Homeless Children. If you were to take a tour of this caring center, you might come upon a circle of toddlers being read to by a volunteer, or see a group of 4 or 5 year olds sitting around little tables being served a nutritious lunch by smiling staff members, or find 5 or 6 napping babies in a quiet room.

Harvard Square Bake Sale for Japan
On Saturday, April 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Harvard Square bakers from UpStairs on the Square, Finale, Sweet Cupcake, Harvest, Henrietta’s Table, and Rialto will gather outside UpStairs at 91 Winthrop Street in Harvard Square to sell their cookies, pies, cakes and cupcakes. All proceeds will go directly to Peace Winds Japan, an NGO doing relief work on the ground in Japan. There are over 40 Bake Sale for Japan events happening around the country, as part of a national endeavor to raise $100,000.
